We can understand the difference between a goal and a habit as the contrast between a destination and a direction. A goal is akin to a destination, which is the ultimate point someone or something is going to while a habit is the direction or the journey toward that final destination. They are inextricably linked; one should never try to get one at the expense of the other. We cannot set and reach our goals without building habits that help us achieve them. For example, if writing a book next year is your goal, writing a one hundred words every day are the habits you form to help you reach your goal.

An excellent compare and contrast here!
Thank you š Christy for stopping by.
You and i share the same sentiments. I made a post last week about habits which I would like to drop this year and I did that because I knew that there were goals which I’d set for myself. Thanks for sharing.
My pleasure Lebogang!
First time here. I think I like it already.
The example about writing a book felt like you’re in my thoughts. Thanks a lot
You are right. Thank you for commenting Lazarus.
š The “Habit” is the “Destination” EveryOne; just as many a wise person has said the “Goal” is NOT!!! the “Destination” the Journey is the “Destination” EveryBody…basically 3DLife is what Happens when YOU!!! ARE Looking The Other Way at YOUR!!! “Goals” on The Horizon; ergo We ALL Know what Happens when We Reach The Horizon, Different “Habits” and this is why…a Baby is born and develops “Habits” then those “Habits” are changed by getting the Baby in to a Routine that Gets the Baby Confused; then We Fast Forward to The Adult who has been convinced by Conditioned UpBringing that “Goals” ARE The Answer only to Experience Pyrrhic Victories and Get Really Frustrated because They WERE Already at Their Destination on Their Journey with Their Habits…a KiDult (an Adult returned to the Purity of Their ChildLike State) understands that “Goals” ARE a Distraction and “Habits” change over time, Having “Goals” is a “Habit”
