The technological advances of the 21st century have improved the lives of people. Google, for example, has forever revolutionized how we consume information by making them accessible to us at all times. How convenient! However, the convenience brought forth by these inventions has made us impatient. We believe just like can order a pizza from our phone and have it at our door without hassles in the least amount of time possible, we can get our way to Harvard by spending most of our days watching dancing cats on social media. Unfortunately, that’s not how it works. Success requires delaying gratification. You must identify when to postpone your Netflix show and grind. Your idol, regardless of their talents, has had to sacrifice their leisure times to be where they are. To reach a worthwhile goal, you must know when instant gratification is appropriate and when to delay pleasure.
Goal Setting, Personal Development
What true words. Not only that, we have to control our impulses when it comes to mindless scrolling through the internet or picking up the phone for no reason at all. What a weird age we live in. Anyway, thanks for this post!
Absolutely! That’s the world we live in. Thanks for commenting brother.
