Many of us equate seeking help with weakness without realizing it’s a sign of strength and humility that, if done well, can help us achieve our goals. Ancient Scripture even advises us to ask for help; Ask and you shall receive. Most people will give given you are willing to ask. There is a caveat, though. Always be willing to give first. You may think you have nothing to give, but that’s not true. Everyone needs help, big or small; you just have to find out what is it you can give the other person. I gained aid from a famous singer by inviting her to be the speaker of a notable event. I helped her share her story and in return I got the answers to my questions. So, don’t let overconfidence and fear hinder you from gaining valuable resources you need to reach your goals.
